Bulawayo Provincial Affairs minister, Angeline Masuku, has urged Impumelelo Shinning Stars to groom upcoming artistes, so as to preserve the imbube genre.

Masuku advised the group while officiating at a streetlights handover ceremony by Express Private Car Commuter Services (EXPRICCOS) in Bulawayo on Tuesday.
“I have known this group since they were still very young. The group has matured musically something they had thought of in the beginning when they were starting to perform. I am saying this because many children are in the streets and have talents, which they do not know what they can do with,” she said.
“Youth should not find it difficult to get something to do, as there is Impumelelo Shining Stars, which can mentor them. The group was trained by Black Mambazo at a tender age and it is high time they mentor others well.”
Masuku said the group was a fountain of knowledge, which the youth can use.

“These guys are a fountain of knowledge and this is how one can use them as they are God-given. When they started, they were immature and I remember, I asked them what their vision was and I told them they is no one, who can make them achieve that vision except themselves and God,” she said.
Masuku said she was happy that the group has become Zimbabwe’s Black Mambazo and she was proud of it.
“They listened to what I told them and look at them now, I happy to say they have become our own Black Mambazo. Wherever you are, know that this is the group to showcase the talent. Nothing stops you if you want to pursue your talent and this group is prepared to train others,” she said.
“They were trained by Mambazo and it’s their turn now to groom others as well.”
