A CHINHOYI teenager, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing his teen colleague over a crate of empty beer bottles.

Mashonaland West police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara confirmed the incident.
“Yes, the accused is in custody helping police investigations over the killing of his friend,” he said.
Mabgweazara said there was a misunderstanding between the now deceased and his friend over a crate of empty bottles belonging to the latter.
A scuffle ensued and the accused picked a brick and struck the deceased once on the side of the neck and he fell down unconscious.

Onlookers rushed to inform the neighbours of what had happened and ferried the victim to Chinhoyi Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The matter was reported at Chemagamba Police Station who are investigating the matter.
