YOUTHS drawn from Bulawayo, Matabeleland South and North provinces yesterday selected representatives who will table their grievances at the national youth indaba scheduled for today in Harare. Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation minister will be guest of honour at the meeting.

Issues likely to be on the agenda include unemployment, their involvement in mining, farming, entrepreneurship, sports, arts, culture, health, social welfare, information and technology, governance, advocacy and education.

Deputy director of youth, sport, art and recreation for Bulawayo Metropolitan province, Isaiah Mpofu told Southern Eye that the main objective of the indaba was to get input on policy from youths.

“The idea is to re-craft our policies so that they become user-friendly to the youth who constitute the majority of the country’s population and have a role to play,” he said.

The indaba provides a platform for the youths to interact with the policymakers.
