HARARE magistrate Stanford Mambanje has set May 26 as the trial date for former Health minister Obadiah Moyo, who faces a criminal abuse of office charge.

Moyo appeared in court yesterday where he filed a notice to apply for removal from remand but later dropped the application, opting to have his bail conditions relaxed.

Mambanje will make a ruling on the application on May 7.

Meanwhile, MDC Alliance youth chairperson Obey Sithole will know his fate today after magistrate Dennis Mangosi deferred the bail ruling yesterday.
