A 34-year-old Bulawayo man landed himself in trouble last week after he was allegedly caught red-handed drawing graffiti on a Zanu PF anti-sanctions petition document in Sizinda suburb.
The incident allegedly occurred on March 23.
Witness Dube of Magwegwe North was not formally charged when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate, Ndumo Masuku.
He was granted $50 bail and remanded to April 12. The state alleges that on March 23, Dube visited an anti-sanctions campaign petition desk at Richards Shopping Centre in Sizinda where Kudakwashe Java and Trinity Bushe gave him the petition document to fill his particulars.
Dube allegedly wrote vulgar words which he purported to be his correct name and went on to draw insulting graffiti on the document.
The pair who were manning the desk queried the name that he had written on the form but Dube allegedly remained adamant that it was his name.

Police later intervened and arrested him.
Dube was represented by Shepherd Chamunorwa while Malvern Nzombe appeared for the state.
