The Securities Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZ) and the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Wednesday jointly hold a breakfast briefing for capital market players at a local hotel.

In a statement SECZ chief executive officer Tafadzwa Chinamo said the briefing was aimed at improving relations and creating a conducive capital market regulatory environment focused on growth.

Finance minister Tendai Biti is expected to make a speech at the breakfast meeting which will mark the strengthening of relationships between the regulator, the stock exchange and the parent ministry.

Other speakers expected to address the meeting include the chairperson of the SECZ Willia Bonyongwe and the chairperson of ZSE Sij Biyam.

At least 150 participants, who include capital market players, business leaders, members of the legal and media fraternities are expected to attend the breakfast, whose theme is “Exploiting the Full Breadth and Depth of Capital Markets — A New Era for Zimbabwe”.
