The bail hearing for MDC-T Youth Assembly chairperson, Solomon Madzore, who was arrested last month, has been postponed to Wednesday after High Court judge Justice Maria Zimba Dube said she wanted time to go through the State response.

Justice Dube yesterday took over the hearing from Justice Hlekani Mwayera who last week postponed the hearing three times.

Madzore’s bail hearing was first deferred from last Wednesday to Thursday after State prosecutor Edmore Nyazamba requested more time to file a response.

On Thursday, the matter was again postponed to Friday as Justice Mwayera said she wanted more time to go through the State’s response but on Friday, the judge was forced to postpone the case to yesterday after Nyazamba said she wanted to attend a funeral.

Madzore is part of 28 MDC-T activists who are facing charges of murdering a police inspector, Petros Mutedza, in Glen View in May and is detained at Chikurubi Maximum Prison.
