Egypt's military ruler to make statement: paper

CAIRO – Egypt’s military ruler will deliver an “important statement” on Sunday, the state newspaper Al Ahram reported in a news text message. It did not give details on what he would announce.

Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, who will deliver the statement, heads the ruling military council that took over when Hosni Mubarak was ousted from office in February last year.
