A 25-year-old man from Kafusi area in Guyu was last week taken to Bulawayo Magistrates Court on charges of fatally stabbing his brother following a domestic dispute.

Mandlenkosi Tinofa Mabhena was not asked to plead to murder when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Learmore Mapiye.

The court heard that on December 25 last year, Mandlenkosi had a misunderstanding with his younger brother Thulani Tinofa Mabhena (age not given) over an unspecified issue while they were at home.

Mandlenkosi allegedly picked up an Okapi knife and stabbed his brother in the left side of the chest, killing him instantly.

The matter was reported to police, leading to the suspect’s arrest.

The court advised him to apply to the High Court for bail and remanded him in custody to June 15.
