The four first appeared in court on February 21 and are scheduled to appear again today before Victor Mpofu at the Nyamandlovu circuit court facing charges of murder

NWC member Elphas Ndlovu (54), Bernard Sibanda (65), Elkana Sibanda (52) and Bigboy Mpofu (47) — all of Nyamandlovu, Matabeleland North — have not been formally charged with the murder of Zenzo Ndlovu.

On January 30, the four allegedly confronted Zenzo while at a homestead in Nyamandlovu on why he had let his cattle into Bernard’s maize fields.

Ndlovu arrested and handcuffed him.

The four then beat up Zenzo until he fell unconscious. They took him to Bernard’s home where they tried to render first aid on him. They later took him to Igusi Clinic from where he was transferred to Nyamandlovu Hospital.
