HIGH Court judge Justice Chinembiri Bhunu on Friday granted MDC-T national youth leader Solomon Madzore, who is facing murder charges, permission to represent his party at youth meetings to be held in Denmark and Netherlands at an unspecified date.

Justice Bhunu issued the order as per the draft presented by Madzore’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa and further postponed the trial of 29 MDC-T activitists accused of killing a senior police officer to today.
Mtetwa on Friday threatened to quit representing the 29 MDC-T Glen View activists citing lack of seriousness on the way prosecutor Edmore Nyazamba has dealt with the matter.
“It is quite clear that the State has not done anything to ensure the availability of the doctor to testify in this matter.
“If the court is willing to entertain the State beyond today (yesterday), I will ask to be excused because I cannot continue to be part of this,” Mtetwa said after Nyazamba had asked for another postponement.

“The State is no longer prosecuting the matter, but clearly embarking on a persecution of Zimbabweans using the justice delivery system.”
Nyazamba told Justice Bhunu that the Cuban doctor who carried a postmortem on Inspector Petros Mutedza would be available to testify today after his efforts to bring him on Friday failed.
Mutedza was killed during disturbances in Glen View in May 2011.
