The Entumbane High School student, who collapsed and caused a mass hysteria at the institution last week, was back at school yesterday after undergoing a cleansing ceremony at an undisclosed place in Matobo.

Entumbane councillor Prince Dube yesterday confirmed the Form Three student was now back at school.

“The situation is now calm. The children are alright,” he said.  “I have been told by the headmaster of the school that the girl is fine and is back at school.”

There was drama at the school last Tuesday when the 15-year-old girl collapsed and seven of her colleagues who tried to help her started behaving strangely.

A close family member told NewsDay that the student had undergone some cleansing rituals conducted by an unnamed prophet on Sunday to rid her of “the demons that were terrorising her”.
