“It will be my first collaboration with a Zimbabwean artist. I do not know what shape it will take, but for me it’s breaking walls that separate West Africa from the South. You don’t know a lot about us and we don’t know a lot about Zimbabwe so it’s the time for the young African generation to break theses walls,” said Safia.

Nikki’s album also features tracks like African Beauty with a Namibian artist known as Pinket  Kaunah, and the title track, which is currently doing well on the local airwaves.

“The album will also feature well established urban grooves artists like Knox and Shinso and Dj Mbale, and it’s a great working with these guys and doing stuff with them is my stepping stone as far as my career is concerned,” said Nikki.

Nikki recently signed for Chigutiro Records and the deal is paying off as he will perform in South Africa courtesy of the label.

Nikki was born in Mutare and grew up in Mufakose, Harare. He started singing in the church choir and at the moment he is studying towards a degree in Human Resource Management at Midlands State University.
