STAR FM DJ Munyaradzi Milimo, who is accused of murdering Tinashe Magorimbo, yesterday appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts and was further remanded in custody to June 19 while awaiting indictment for trial at the High Court.

Clad in prison garb, DJ Munya and his co-accused Taurai Jani and Mohammed Matare stood in the dock for less than a minute before Harare magistrate Anita Tshuma pronounced the remand date suggested by the State.

The three accused persons were represented by Reason Muchirewesi while his fellow attorneys were making frantic efforts to obtain bail consent from the Attorney-General’s Office.

DJ Munya, as he is affectionately known by his radio fans, was two weeks ago thrown behind bars after it emerged he allegedly hired “hit-men” who kidnapped and murdered Magorimbo.

This was after Magorimbo had reportedly failed to pay DJ Munya $5 000 “compensation” for having an illicit affair with his wife, the court heard.
