AFTER a long spell away, sungura musician Alick Macheso returns to his home ground, Aquatic Complex, in Chitungwiza tonight.

He performs at a show that also features Jah Prayzah and Tryson Chimbetu. Macheso had not performed in his favourite hunting ground for a long time as promoters shunned the venue citing high hiring fees.

Macheso should be glad to reunite with his Chitungwiza fans and also ready to announce his bounce-back plan following the flopping of his latest album Kwatakabva Mitunhu. The musician has said he would release another album, provisionally titled Zvazvinhu, in the near future.

But Macheso would have to put extra effort to make a mark as he locks horns with youthful musicians that stage energetic acts.

Jah Prayzah, who is arguably the musician of the moment, is rocking the showbiz scene with his album Tsviriyo. He is working on a DVD to the album expected on the market next month.

Songs from his latest album are gaining popularity each day.

On the other hand, Chimbetu would be out to prove he can sustain the level set by the current hit Pahotera.

Organiser of the show Chris Musabayana said they were looking forward to superb entertainment.

“These artistes are doing well with their recent albums and we are happy to bring them together in Chitungwiza,” Musabayana said.
