PHOTOGRAPHER Nancy Mteki says she has received anointing from renowned Nigerian prophet TB Joshua.

The photographer, who opens her exhibition at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe (NGZ) today, expressed gratitude to TB Joshua (real name Temitope Balogun Joshua) saying he blessed her in 2012.
“I received TB Joshua’s anointing in 2012 and it has brought light to my career as I was told everything will be well,” she said. “I wish I could go there for a testimony.”
The month-long exhibition titled Mbereko opens at an event that the NGZ board of trustees chairperson Solomon Guramatunhu will be guest of honour.
Mteki’s exhibition is part of the solo exhibitions that NGZ will be hosting this year where sculptures, paintings, drawings, printmaking and digital media will be included.

Mteki said she was delighted to be showcasing her talent at this exhibition.
“This is my debut solo exhibition this year and I believe the show will take my career to another level,” Mteki said.
Inspired by her father Richard, Nancy ventured into photography in 2008.
Her first photo exhibition in the country was in 2009 at Gwanza Month of Photography where she was awarded an Honorary Mention Certificate.
She also participated at the same exhibition in 2010 and 2011.
Last year, she toured Senegal where she participated at the Dakar Art Biennale African Visual Arts, walking away with a Deveron Arts Biennale Residency Prize. In the past, NGZ has taken strides in promoting and uniting Zimbabwean women in visual art through various exhibitions showcasing female visual artists working in all mediums.
