Mlambo (30), who is the ruling party councillor for Ward 7, was charged together with his two accomplices Knowledge Zuze (30) and Henry Mupembamoto (30) with assaulting Knocks Charakupa who operates a private car park at St Mary’s business centre.
Zuze was fined $100 for assault, while Mupembamoto was acquitted of the charge by magistrate Lazarus Murendo.
Prosecutor Tendai Mukariri told the court that on March 24 this year, the three stormed the car park and chased away all the people present, including Charakupa. They claimed to have taken over ownership of the business.
Charakupa reported the matter to the police, leading to the trio’s arrest.
