The heavy rains that hit Harare on Monday exposed the Harare city council’s failure to deal with the city’s drainage system as a number of streets were left submerged in water.
A shopping mall along Kwame Nkrumah Avenue was one of the most affected areas as water from the clogged street gushed into shops, forcing owners to temporarily shut down their businesses.
