Filbert Kufainyore (28) was not asked to plead to the charge when he appeared before resident magistrate Richard Ramaboea.

He was remanded in custody to January 21 and advised to seek services of a lawyer to facilitate his bail application.

State allegations are that on January 4 this year, Kufainyore and a security guard identified as Douglas Choto, who is on the run, connived to steal from their employer.

Kufainyore, who was the sole custodian of the safe keys, allegedly opened the safe box, took out the money and gave it to Choto who immediately went into hiding.
