ARMED robbers took off with 10kg of gold concentrate last week after a heist at a Battlefields gold milling plant in Kadoma.

The robbers reportedly pounced on five miners armed with three rifles and ordered the miners to lie down before stealing the gold concentrate and other valuables.

National police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said the seven suspects were wearing woollen masks and black clothes.

She said police had launched a manhunt for the robbers who pounced on the mine at around midnight on May 9.

“The seven suspects ordered the miners to lie down, stripped them naked, before robbing them of 10kg of gold concentrate and other valuables,” Charamba said.
