A house belonging to former Reserve Bank Governor Gideon Gono went up in flames on Wednesday afternoon after an electrical fault, which affected a pylon metres from the house.

The manager at Gono’s farm, said a police report had been made and investigations were yet to be concluded.

He speculated that a strong gust of wind, blowing towards the farmhouse, was responsible for the inferno.
