ON November 6, 2015 in a story titled Ken Sharpe ordered to pay $6,3m taxes, we stated that Ken Sharpe is a director of Afritrade International and that he was ordered by the Fiscal Appeal Court to pay $6,3 million to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority in taxes.
However, while Sharpe testified in the matter, Afritrade International director Andrew Fox has since stated that Sharpe was not a director and has never been one.
Fox also indicated that Afritrade has now appealed the case in the Supreme Court as they were the suppliers while the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe was the importer of the goods.
Any inconveniences caused to Sharpe and Afritrade International is sincerely regretted. – EDITOR
