STANBIC Bank Zimbabwe has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting people living with albinism by donating sun protection products worth US$30 000 to the Albino Charity Organisation of Zimbabwe (ALCOZ).
The Standard Bank Group subsidiary handed over 800 sun hats, 800 bottles of Dettol liquid, 1 000 bars of Dettol soap, 800 sunscreen lotions, 500 sunscreen sprays and 1 034 lip balms to ALCOZ members from across the country.
Stanbic Bank head of brand and marketing Tariro Memo said the donation marked another milestone in the bank's long-standing partnership with ALCOZ.
"Over the past 11 years, our partnership has grown stronger, and so has our appreciation of the courage and resilience shown by people living with albinism across Zimbabwe," Memo said.
She praised ALCOZ for its work in advocacy, empowerment, sunscreen distribution and community outreach, saying the organisation continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with albinism.
Memo said Stanbic Bank was proud to support an organisation whose work promotes inclusion and protection while reaching communities in all 10 provinces.

Memo also paid tribute to ALCOZ founder Loveness Mainato for her vision and dedication to improving the lives of people living with albinism. She thanked the organisation's projects manager, George Mafararikwa, together with the ALCOZ team and volunteers, for their continued commitment to supporting and empowering the community.
Mafararikwa described the donation as timely, with Zimbabwe moving from the cold season into warmer weather, when people living with albinism are more vulnerable to the effects of prolonged sun exposure.
"I would like to put it on record that Stanbic Bank is miles ahead of all other donors on several fronts. These include being our longest-serving partner, the value of its contributions, and the quality of the products it donates," Mafararikwa said.
He said ALCOZ members in all 10 provinces would benefit from the donation.
