After a long silence, the spotlight blazes back to life as Dreamstar Zimbabwe makes its triumphant grand-finale comeback on December 5 at the legendary 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale, Harare.

Seventeen finalists from Mutare, Bulawayo, Harare, Gweru, and Victoria Falls will share the stage with star performers Nyasha David, Nisha TS, Killer T, Atenda Chinx, and Delroy Shewe. Tickets are priced at US$10 (standard) and US$20 (VIP), available at MedOrange Pharmacy and online via Tikiti.

The organiser, Walter Chanaka, of the Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation (JCMC), on Tuesday promised a night bursting with raw talent, artistic energy, and the unmistakable spirit of Zimbabwean creativity.

Hosted by JCMC in partnership with the China-Zimbabwe Exchange Centre, Dreamstar Zimbabwe is a national beacon of talent development. The platform elevates young creatives across music, dance, beatboxing, and other disciplines, guiding them toward professional artistic careers.

The 2025 finalists have advanced through a demanding pathway of preliminaries, quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals—assessed by seasoned industry experts committed to nurturing exceptional artistry.

Five years after the outbreak of Covid-29 forced its shelving, the show is back with a bang.

For Dreamstar, this meant recalibrating strategy, rebuilding sponsor relationships, and reigniting the momentum that once made it a cultural phenomenon. Now, with renewed partnerships and fresh investment, the show roars back—proof that passion, persistence, and creativity can outlast even the toughest storms.

At this year’s finale, contestants will compete for a US$3,000 prize pool, including all-expenses-paid tours to China and recording deals with JCMC. The grand-prize winner will receive US$1,500, the runner-up US$1,000, and third place US$500. Yet Dreamstar’s deepest reward remains its mission: discovering Zimbabwe’s brightest performers and transforming artistic dreams into sustainable careers.

Dreamstar’s legacy includes success stories such as Nyasha David, ProBeatz, Mwenje Mathole, and Fusion 5 Mangwiro, whose careers were launched on its stage—testament to the platform’s power to shape talent into nationally and internationally recognized excellence.

Adding to the excitement, Delroy Shewe recently lit up social media with an exuberant declaration:

“Dreams are real, dreams come true, and on the 5th of December it is Dreamstar’s Grand Finale. Catch me live at Seven Arts Theatre!”

Equally energized is Nyasha David, returning as both alumnus and headline act:

“It’s going to be amazing. I’m so pleased to grace the Dreamstar stage again. It’s going to be dope as Atenda Chinx, Killer T, and Nisha TS put on top-of-the-range performances!”

On December 5, Dreamstar Zimbabwe rises once more—renewed, recharged, and ready to illuminate the dreams of a new generation at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare.
