NetOne, a leading telecommunications provider in Zimbabwe, has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability through a clean-up campaign in Harare, aligning with the National Development Strategy 2 and Vision 2030.

The campaign, held on the 6th of February , saw NetOne employees and stakeholders coming together to promote a clean, orderly, and dignified nation, as called upon by  President Emmerson Mnangagwa. 

Speaking at the event, NetOne representatives said that sustainable development encompasses not only infrastructure and connectivity but also preserving the environment that supports economic and social progress.

"Our message to our customers and the community is simple but powerful: national development begins with individual and institutional discipline," said NetOne.

The clean-up campaign is part of NetOne's strategic pillar on Environmental Sustainability, demonstrating the company's commitment to supporting national programmes that build resilient communities and a sustainable future.

"This initiative is our practical response to the call by President Mnangagwa , for institutions and citizens alike to take collective responsibility for a clean, orderly and dignified nation," NetOne said.

According to NetOne, clean environments promote health, productivity, and pride, which are essential ingredients for Vision 2030.

The event saw NetOne employees  together with the City of Harare stakeholders collecting litter and debris in designated areas, promoting a sense of ownership and responsibility among community members.
