Popular Glendale-based traditional healer Sekuru Nyangatayani has ventured into the transport sector after acquiring his first haulage truck, further expanding his business interests in Zimbabwe.
The truck, branded Nyangaz Logistics Herbal Solutions, marks his entry into the haulage business and adds to his interests in farming and mining in Mashonaland Central province.Nyangatayani said the investment was part of his broader efforts to diversify into different sectors while contributing to the country’s economic development.
“I am happy to be joining the transport industry with my first truck. We want to develop our nation, so I am joining various sectors,” he said.
The latest investment comes as Nyangatayani continues to build a reputation for supporting vulnerable people in his community through various philanthropic initiatives.
In January, he paid school fees and donated stationery and learning materials to underprivileged and differently abled learners at Glengrey Primary School in Glendale. The donation also included teaching materials for teachers.
Nyangatayani has also partnered with musician Chipo Muchegwa in supporting people living with disabilities.
The two donated money and groceries to a five-year-old girl in Mukumbura and assisted in building a two-roomed house for her and her grandmother. They have also supported another girl living with a disability.
In December last year, Nyangatayani donated Christmas hampers and gifts to disadvantaged members of the Mazowe community, including people living with disabilities, visually impaired people, elderly citizens, widows, widowers and orphans.
His philanthropic activities have also extended to correctional facilities. In June last year, he donated groceries, sanitary pads, winter clothing and toiletries to inmates at Bindura Prison.
The haulage truck represents another milestone in Nyangatayani’s expanding business portfolio, as he seeks to pursue opportunities across different sectors while maintaining his involvement in community development.
For Nyangatayani, the latest venture reflects his belief that business growth and giving back to the community can go hand in hand.
