After initially leaving Bulawayo off her highly successful “Road to Fill Up HICC” tour, award-winning musician Feli Nandi has finally responded to growing pressure from fans in the City of Kings and Queens by adding a Bulawayo show to her itinerary.

The singer, whose nationwide tour is building momentum ahead of her highly anticipated Fill Up HICC concert, is set to perform at Cotton Kraal in Bradfield on June 27.

When the tour dates were first announced, many Bulawayo fans expressed disappointment after noticing that the city had been excluded from the schedule.

Social media platforms were soon flooded with calls for the artiste to reconsider, with supporters arguing that Bulawayo had consistently supported her music and deserved to be part of the journey.

At some point when Feli Nandi's management was contacted over the issue they said: "We are definitely working on it. Just waiting for confirmation on a few things.”

The fans’ voices appear to have been heard.

The newly announced Bulawayo show is being viewed as a direct response to overwhelming demand from fans who did not want to miss out on the experience that audiences across the country have been enjoying.

Feli Nandi's Road to Fill Up HICC campaign has attracted impressive crowds in several cities, with performances drawing full houses and generating excitement ahead of the main event on August 14.

Her blend of Afro-fusion, traditional sounds and contemporary Zimbabwean music has continued to win over audiences, making her one of the country's most sought-after live performers.

The tour, which has taken her to various cities across the country, has also demonstrated the growing commercial appeal of the singer, whose concerts have become known for energetic performances, strong audience engagement and high production standards.

Promoters are optimistic that Bulawayo's music lovers will turn out in large numbers. Industry observers believe the show could easily mirror the success recorded in other centres where fans have packed venues to capacity.

Bulawayo has a reputation for supporting quality live music and has in recent years hosted several sold-out shows by leading local artistes.

That trend is expected to continue when Feli Nandi takes to the stage later this month.

The concert will also provide an important opportunity for the singer to strengthen her connection with fans in the country's second-largest city as she intensifies preparations for the Fill Up HICC showcase.

Some of her best tracks include Mubayei, Mufudzi Wemombe, Munhu Wangu and Unotyei.
