Sungura musician First Farai has reclaimed the spotlight following the release of his trending diss track Teki Teki, which has taken the entertainment scene by storm and revived his fading music career.

The song, which targets fellow musicians Gift Amuli and Dereck Mpofu, comes after the duo allegedly attacked First Farai in their track Mari YeChema, a song that linked him to allegations of misappropriating funeral contributions during fellow musician Cephas Mashakada’s funeral nearly 15 years ago.

First Farai has dismissed the allegations, insisting he never stole any money from the funeral collection.

“I never stole any funeral money as some people want the public to believe. Those are old accusations meant to destroy my name and career,” said First Farai.

The musician said Teki Teki was his response to repeated attacks from rivals in the music industry.

“As musicians, sometimes people attack you publicly and you are forced to defend yourself. I decided to respond through music because that is what we do best,” he said.

The track has become a social media sensation, with many fans praising its lyrical content and energy. The growing popularity of the song has also translated into increased bookings for live performances.

“Fans have shown me unbelievable support. I want to thank everyone who has stood by me and supported my music during difficult times. The love I am receiving is overwhelming,” said First Farai.

The singer, who boasts 22 albums, believes Teki Teki could become the breakthrough song that elevates his career to greater heights.

“I have worked hard for many years in the music industry and I believe this song has opened another chapter for me. People are finally appreciating my work on a bigger scale,” he said.

The ongoing lyrical feud between the musicians has generated widespread debate among sungura fans, with many closely following the exchanges between the artistes.
