Communication specialist Takemore Mazuruse has been included among the Top 10 Men in PR – Zimbabwe by Africa PR Week, in recognition of his growing influence in strategic communications and social impact storytelling.

Mazuruse, the founder of branding firm Esteem Communications, also manages public relations for several organisations, including Empowered Women as well as ZIMCN Investments Group, a company chaired by Collins Takunda Mnangagwa, among others.

Mazuruse, who is also a correspondent for The Standard, earned the accolade for leveraging communication as a tool for advocacy and community development, positioning brands and causes to achieve meaningful societal impact.

Reacting to the recognition, Mazuruse expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to purpose-driven communication.

“I am deeply honoured to be recognised among the Top 10 Men in PR in Zimbabwe,” he said.

“This acknowledgement is not just about me, but about the power of communication to transform communities and amplify voices that often go unheard”.

Among those recognised is Kevin Mwenye, a senior public relations specialist at NBS, whose work in corporate communications has strengthened brand positioning within the financial sector.

Also honoured is Lenox Mhlanga, a respected strategic communications consultant and chairman of the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe Charity Foundation.

Mhlanga, a columnist for The Standard, has long been influential in shaping marketing and communications standards in the country.

Tapfumaneyi Mugari, who leads digital communication and PR at Cimas Health Group, was recognised for advancing digital engagement strategies in the healthcare space.

Media entrepreneur Kudzai Tinago, chief executive officer of Tigzozo Media, was also named among the top performers, reflecting his growing influence in digital media and storytelling.

In the aviation sector, Stewart Mupaya and Tonderai Mangombe of the Airports Company of Zimbabwe (Private) Limited were acknowledged for their role in elevating corporate communications within a critical national infrastructure institution.

Rounding out the list was Nigel Masonga of the IPMZ, whose work in business development and professional engagement continues to strengthen organisational visibility and growth.

In a statement, Africa PR Week said the honourees represent a blend of innovation, leadership, and excellence, driving impactful narratives across key sectors of Zimbabwe’s economy.

“These visionary men are redefining the communications landscape in Zimbabwe. From industry pioneers to strategic powerhouses, they are setting new benchmarks for excellence,” the organisation said.

Africa PR Week highlighted that the honourees are not only excelling individually but are also contributing to the broader evolution of Zimbabwe’s PR and marketing ecosystem.

Their work spans sectors such as aviation, healthcare, financial services, and professional development, underscoring the strategic importance of communications in national development.
