Popular Mutoko-based Afro-fusion musician Biggers Wakapiwa has dropped his 10th album titled The Voice of Reason, which is already doing well on local airwaves.

The 12-track album contains tracks laden with social commentary as the musician, a teacher by profession, seeks to address societal ills.

Wakapiwa, affectionately known as Baba Mutoko, is going to unveil the new album in his area at Chikondoma Stadium on December 22.

“After launching the album on Radio Zimbabwe, we have decided to honour our home fans here in Mutoko through a live  performance at Chikondoma Stadium,” Baba Mutoko.

“I am praying that the event will go on well and we are expecting a large crowd since we are selling the tickets at cheap prices.”

The tickets are pegged at US$2.

Wakapiwa is a household name in Mutoko and has been featuring prominently as a performer at state and private functions.

“The album’s title The Voice of Reason is meant to describe the type of message carried in the songs,” he said.

“The message is food for thought to married couples, youths and the general populacy.”

The musician is  supported by Mutoko  miner Blessing Kanhema, popularly known as Boss Kanhema.
