The ongoing strikes by health workers at public hospitals have, for the umpteenth time, laid bare the staggering incompetence of what can only be described as a "dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion".

This latest wave of industrial action was sparked by the astronomical increase in fuel prices, a crisis triggered by conflict in the Middle East, but significantly worsened by the regime’s own punitive taxes on the commodity.

The imagery coming out of the protests is a damning indictment of the status quo, with nurses seen waving placards that poignantly query whether they should resort to prostitution just to make ends meet amidst soaring transport costs.

Such scenes serve as a grim advertisement for the dismal failure of a regime that owes its very existence to being catapulted into power on the back of guns and tanks, followed by dodgy elections that even Sadc found reason to baulk at.

In a move typical of this "coup cabal," the government has responded with a "strategically bankrupt ploy" to appear as a "listening government".

They have established a committee to find ways to lower the fuel prices they instituted in the first place.

However, despite the regime nominally approving a review of selected fuel taxes to ameliorate the impact of these costs, no actual timeline for implementation has been announced.

This lack of action has naturally birthed the cynical view that the delay is deliberate, intended to allow the owners of fuel stations within the regime to continue raking in obscene profits at the public's expense.

Perhaps most ridiculous is the plan to reintroduce Zupco buses at 50 cents for city routes, a move that highlights the impoverished leadership of the "Scarfed One".

The failure to provide an adequate fleet has already led to disastrous consequences and unedifying scenes, including reports of women being fondled by unruly thugs as they are pushed through bus windows in long winding queues.

To suggest that reviving such a failed programme is a "shield against economic turmoil" is nothing short of ridiculous.

It perfectly illustrates the cluelessness of a regime attempting to fix a crisis of its own making with tools that have already broken.

Munopengaaaaaaaaa!

Simultaneously, the desperation to railroad the pillaging of the constitution continues at a frantic pace.

The goal is clear: to allow the vapid leadership of "Scarfmore" to cling to power beyond the current constitutional limit of 2028.

The regime’s insecurity is evident in the cowardly arrest of Tendai Biti, the convener of the Constitutional Defenders Forum, for the "crime" of holding a meeting to mobilise against this desecration of the country’s supreme law.

While Biti was arrested for lacking police permission, Zanu PF is allowed to hold meetings freely to push for the acceptance of these amendments.

This double standard is clear evidence that the regime knows exactly how unpopular these changes—borne of a greed for power—truly are.

The "ruining party" has now resorted to forcing citizens to rehearse responses for the parliamentary committee consultations, a move that proves the desire to foist this octogenarian on the nation for two more years without an election is far from unanimous.

It is a sign of extreme unpopularity when citizens must be threatened or even abducted to offer support for constitutional changes.

These amendments, forced down the throats of the populace, make a mockery of any claims of "buy-in".

They are not by the people for the people; they exist solely to serve the self-serving interests of "Scarfmore" and his cabal, a fact no amount of state propaganda can successfully hide.

 Munopengaaa!!!.

Adding to this atmosphere of "buffoonery on steroids" is the central bank’s nationwide campaign to convince the public that the "funny money" known as Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) actually possesses buying power.

The spectacle of officials at 80 Samora Machel Avenue preaching about the strength of a currency they introduced nearly two years ago reflects a laughable ineptitude on the part of "John the Second" and his cohort.

There is a preposterous irony in the fact that the very fuel the central bank uses to traverse the country for this campaign cannot be purchased with the currency they proclaim is a "game changer".

There is everything wrong when a central bank feels the need to persuade its own citizens that the money it prints is actually worth something.

It defies logic to imagine the South African central bank going on a campaign to persuade people to use the rand.

This kind of nonsense has turned the country into a global laughing stock.

The "second repubric" is now defined by monetary authorities "twerking" for the acceptance of a currency that is rejected by the regime itself for certain goods and services.

This entire exercise is a manifest exercise in futility, especially considering this is the same institution that presided over the spectacular failure of the 2019 Zimbabwe dollar.

That currency, reintroduced by the "Scarfed One" and co, collapsed to the point where its highest denomination could not even buy a sweet.

 Stop it!
