Zimbabwe began their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign with a nil-all draw against hosts Rwanda at Huye Stadium in Butare.
It was the Warriors' first official international match since a 17-month FIFA suspension was lifted in July.
The result means that Zimbabwe will share Group C top spot with Rwanda for at least 24 hours with other group members Nigeria and Lesotho set to clash at the former's home tomorrow evening.
After a cagey first half, the Warriors, captained by Luton Town star Marvelous Nakamba, dominated the second half and were unlucky to score a goal or two.
Baltemar Brito's men had a goal and a penalty shout waved away.
Italy-based defender Jordan Zemura, Andy Rinomhota who plays for Cardiff City in England and Reading's Tivonge Rushesha played no part in the match.
