South African-based writer Wellington Mudhluri’s crime thriller titled Sinister Motive is out. The book
which was published by pentolacut and was launched at Brass Bell Restaurant in Cape Town.
Mudhluri is one of the finest writers of nerve-wracking crime thrillers amongst Zimbabwean authors. His
dexterity is unmistakable.
About the thriller
A glance at the window, Xolani spots him, a glance at the window Jack sees nothing… Questions, fear,
and uncertainty grip Xolani as Jack begins to doubt him.

Internationally acclaimed writer Ndaba Sibanda author of more than 20 published books and co-author
of more than 100 published books announced his next book titled A Delicate Delivery: The Mad
Midwives In Labour; The book is expected to be published this year in the USA at a date to be
announced. The opening of the book constitutes of words that are borrowed from the poem titled; The
Magic Of The Rainbow; These are the introductory words;

Ability Mbongeni Dube
Umzingwane-born writer Ability Mbongeni Dube has released his latest book titled Emqubeni (the
mystery). In the book, a stranger is found dead. His face is beyond recognition. In his pocket, there is an
ID shows that he is a police officer, named Charles.
Police officers, Khumalo and Mehluli start their investigation. They discover that he (Charles) killed
somebody and faked his death. They now start digging deeper with the aim of finding out the mystery
behind him faking his death. During the course of the investigation, Khumalo is framed for murder and
ends up in prison.
On why he wrote the book Ability responded “We live in a corrupt and unjust world. Some people no
longer trust security agents/ forces. Here I want to teach the world that we still have officers who strive
to make sure that we are protected as a nation.

McDonald Pagiwa
Local poet and member of Gourd of Consciousness Poetry McDonald Pagiwa will be featured in A Reading-
Us Africa anthology is to be launched during the ARC22 conference in September. The collection features
50 poets from 10 African countries.
The poet announced on his Facebook page, “Glad to be one of the 50 representing Zimbabwe and also
the pleasure of having the title being named after my featured poem; Dead Manners Such an honor.
