AFRO-JAZZ musician Dudu Manhenga has been appointed brand advocate for a telecommunications service provider, Telco.

The partnership is meant to drive legacy projects that impact communities.

Recently Telco and Manhenga celebrated their love for the environment with a photo shoot campaign in Harare.

The campaign was aimed at inspiring people to have a new mindset about caring for the streets, neighborhood and the earth in general.

“The relationship with Telco started in an interesting way,” Manhenga told Standard Style.

“On my birthday I made a wish list… it included Wi-Fi installation at home. Someone from Telco wished me happy birthday and I asked if he has seen my post.

“I took a screenshot and he scaled it up and the rest is history.”

“So now our relationship is that I am their brand advocate and we are partnering to do legacy projects that will impact our communities.

“You will be seeing a number of activities from Dudu-Powered by Telco.”

Talking about their recent project on protecting the environment, Manhenga said she’s fussy about littering and loving the environment has been always at heart.

“It’s something that has always been in my heart,” she said.

“I am fussy about littering and at home my children get the lecture of water preservation and littering.”

Manhenga said they were arranging clean-up exercises in different towns, starting with Hatcliffe in Harare.

She said awareness programmes were also in store targeted at the youths.
