At first glance, one could mistake him for just another contemporary preacher seeking attention in a crowded religious landscape. Yet behind the calm demeanor of Grace World Church founder Prophet Blessing, popularly known as The Levite in Christian circles, lies a compelling story of prophecy, purpose, and perseverance.
Born to a mother who had long been considered barren, Prophet Blessing's arrival was itself regarded as a miracle.
According to family accounts, his birth was foretold by a man of God whom his mother met during a visit to a prayer mountain.
The prophet reportedly declared that she would give birth to a son destined to become a prophet.
His spiritual journey was further shaped by his upbringing.
Both his parents serve as pastors in the Apostolic Mugodhi Church, exposing him to ministry from an early age.
Although he initially pursued business and other ventures, he says the call to ministry remained persistent until he eventually surrendered to full-time service.
Today, Prophet Blessing leads the rapidly growing Grace World Church congregation, which gathers at Zim Hall in Machipisa shopping centre, Highfield, Harare.
He says the ministry's primary mission is to spread hope and lead people to Christ.
"The name Grace World Church is prophetic and speaks to God's unconditional love for humanity," he said.
"Many people are weary, burdened, and struggling with both physical and spiritual challenges.
“Our mission is to minister hope and demonstrate God's love while bringing the lost to Christ through the wholesome Gospel."
What began in 2024 as a small home fellowship consisting of only Prophet Blessing and his wife has since grown into a congregation numbering in the hundreds.
"I started with a home cell group that consisted of just my wife and me, but by God's grace the ministry has continued to grow. Today, we are witnessing lives being transformed and communities being impacted," he said.
The church's name carries special significance for the founder, who describes himself as a product of divine grace.
"Before committing myself fully to ministry, I had gone astray in many ways. However, God's grace redirected me to His purpose. It was not through my own efforts but through His calling and mercy," he said.
He believes every person is a candidate for God's grace and emphasizes the importance of cultivating a personal relationship with God.
Grace World Church promotes what Prophet Blessing describes as a holistic Gospel — one that addresses both spiritual and practical aspects of life.
Beyond preaching and deliverance services, the church has launched various community-focused initiatives, including charity programmes, family wellness campaigns, and mentorship projects.
Recently, the church hosted special "Blessing Sunday" services that combined worship and teaching with outreach activities for vulnerable members of the community.
"During these services, we extended support to the elderly and less privileged members of society,” he said.
“The initiative was not limited to church members; everyone in the community was invited to experience God's love in action.”
Prophet Blessing has also participated in national programmes aimed at promoting community development and preserving the country's heritage.
"I believe in the potential of Zimbabwe and the importance of contributing positively to national development,” he said.
“The Gospel should not be detached from the realities that people face daily.
“As a ministry, we remain committed to addressing both spiritual and social issues affecting our communities.”
Looking ahead, Grace World Church plans to expand its community development programmes, with particular emphasis on youth empowerment, mentorship, and livelihood creation.
"We are working on initiatives that will equip young people with practical life skills and prepare them for employment and entrepreneurship opportunities,” he said.
“Drug and substance abuse remain serious challenges, and we believe empowerment is one of the most effective solutions.
"Our goal is to help build productive citizens who can contribute meaningfully to their families, communities, and the nation."
As the ministry continues to grow, Prophet Blessing says Grace World Church remains open to all people regardless of denomination.
He extended an invitation to members of the public to attend the church's services, held every Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm at Machipisa shopping centre in Highfield.
"Our doors are open to everyone. We welcome people from all backgrounds and denominations to come and experience God's grace and hope," he said.
