Craft Properties Private Limited executives, Kudakwashe Taruberekera and Yeukai Taruberekera, are gracing the high-profile Global AI Show 2025 in Abu Dhabi, becoming some of the few Zimbabwean business leaders to be accorded VIP status at the futuristic gathering.
The summit, scheduled for December 8 and 9 at the Space42 Arena, runs under the theme “AI:2031 — Accelerating Intelligent Futures” and is expected to attract more than 5 000 AI futurists, 200 experts and 150 global sponsors.
The event has backing from the UAE’s forward-looking government, which is pushing for an AI-powered governance system by 2027 and has invested heavily in mega-projects such as the US$500 billion Stargate Consortium.
In a statement, the organisers said the participation of African innovators such as Craft Properties added diversity and depth to the global AI dialogue.
“We are pleased to welcome business leaders like Professor Taruberekera, whose work in sustainable housing models and smart-infrastructure development aligns with the future we are building,” the organising team said.
“The Global AI Show is about creating bridges between continents, ideas and industries.”
The event features world-renowned speakers including Maitha Alnuaimi on AI governance, Hyunijin Kim on building AI-driven startups, and Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, who will lead discussions on AI’s role in crisis management and cybersecurity.
Taruberekera said attending the summit would further strengthen Craft Properties’ drive to integrate AI-powered solutions into real estate, construction, and community development.
“This invitation is a recognition of the work we are doing in promoting smart, sustainable property solutions from Zimbabwe to the world,” he said.
“AI is no longer a luxury; it is the backbone of future economies. We want to make sure Africa — and Zimbabwe in particular — is part of that conversation.”
He added that the summit would open opportunities for more partnerships, especially in the areas of machine learning applications, ethical AI frameworks and AI-enabled housing systems.
The Taruberekera duo are no strangers to global innovation platforms.
They have previously attended the Dubai AI Summit 2023, which explored AI’s role in industrial transformation; the Global Energy Show Dubai 2024, focusing on renewable energy technologies as well as the Dubai Future Forum 2024, where they engaged in discussions on smart cities and digital futures.
Their Abu Dhabi trip also coincides with the Bridge Summit 2025, a major platform on media, content, and AI innovation featuring global creatives including Idris Elba and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
With AI set to redefine industries, governance, and global development, the presence of Craft Properties at the Global AI Show signals Zimbabwe’s growing footprint in emerging technological spaces.
Meanwhile, Craft Properties Holdings walked home with the Outstanding Property Developer of the Year as well as the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility gongs at the Mashonaland West Excellence Awards held recently.
