The voice that entrusted every member of parliament with the sacred responsibility of representing the people in the August House is now resonating across the nation with one united and unmistakable message: Vote YES for CAB3. From the rural villages to the urban centres, from the Veterans of the Liberation Struggle to the young people who represent the future of the nation, Zimbabweans are expressing one common and patriotic position. The people are calling for leadership that listens to their aspirations, protects the gains of independence and secures national prosperity for future generations.

This process is not an ordinary parliamentary procedure but a defining national moment that carries the hopes, sacrifices and expectations of more than 17 million Zimbabweans. Every member of parliament now carries a historic responsibility to make a decision that reflects the will of the people and safeguards the future of the nation. The decision before parliament is greater than political affiliation, personal interests or temporary political considerations. It is a matter of national duty, patriotism and revolutionary commitment.

At the centre of this national momentum stands the President Emmerson Mnangagwa, whose leadership continues to inspire confidence and optimism across the country. Mnangagwa has consistently demonstrated his commitment to national development, economic transformation and people-centred governance. His administration has remained focused on improving the lives of ordinary citizens through practical policies, infrastructure development and economic empowerment programmes.

Under Mnangagwa’s leadership, Zim has witnessed significant progress in strategic sectors such as agriculture, mining, transport infrastructure, education, health and energy development. Roads are being rehabilitated, dams are being constructed and communities are benefiting from improved access to schools, clinics and other essential services.

The president has also shown a strong commitment to inclusivity and national unity through his development philosophy of leaving no one and no place behind. This approach has ensured that development reaches both urban and rural communities. In fact, his leadership has consistently prioritised peace, stability and national cohesion, which are essential foundations for economic growth and social progress.

The growing support for CAB3 is rooted in the people’s desire for policy continuity, consistency and long-term national stability. Zimbabweans understand that meaningful and sustainable development requires continuity of leadership, continuity of vision and continuity of progressive national policies. The people recognise that policy consistency creates confidence, strengthens institutions and allows developmental programmes to achieve lasting results.

CAB3 is therefore widely viewed as an important national initiative designed to preserve stability and consolidate the developmental gains already achieved under President Mnangagwa’s leadership. Citizens from different sectors of society believe that continuity in governance will accelerate economic transformation, attract investment and strengthen Zim’s position as a sovereign and progressive nation.

Many Zimbabweans also believe that sudden disruptions to a developmental agenda can weaken progress and undermine national aspirations. The call for CAB3 is driven by a collective desire to maintain momentum in the implementation of policies that are already producing positive results. The people are calling for continuity because they want to protect the gains already achieved and ensure that the nation continues moving forward with certainty and confidence.

Mnangagwa’s dedication to serving the people has earned him admiration across communities and institutions. His leadership style reflects humility, discipline, decisiveness and commitment to the liberation values upon which Zimbabwe was founded. Through engagement, consultation and practical governance, he has consistently placed the interests of the people at the centre of national decision-making.

The nation is now looking to Parliament with anticipation, optimism and hope. Citizens across the country are expecting members of parliament to make a decision that reflects unity, patriotism and commitment to national development.

A unanimous YES Vote would also send a strong message to Africa and the international community that Zimbabwe remains united, sovereign and committed to defending its revolutionary gains. Such a decision would demonstrate that Zimbabweans are determined to protect their independence, preserve national stability and continue pursuing economic transformation under visionary leadership.

This moment therefore, presents members of parliament with an opportunity to place national interests above division and temporary political considerations. History will remember those who stood firmly in support of national unity, policy continuity and sustainable development. Future generations will judge this moment according to whether Parliament responded to the people’s expectations with courage and patriotism.

The revolutionary spirit that liberated Zimbabwe continues to guide the nation today. The sacrifices made by the heroes and heroines of the liberation struggle were intended to secure a united, sovereign and prosperous Zimbabwe. CAB3 represents the continuation of that national vision and the strengthening of the developmental agenda currently being implemented under the leadership of Mnangagwa.

The people have spoken clearly and confidently. Their message is patriotic, historic and united. The nation is calling for continuity, stability, consistency and progress.
