My Dear People

The crackdown on Tendai Biti and all those opposed to the planned pulverisation of the constitution to suit selfish interests to cling to power, has for the umpteenth time exposed the revulsion the dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion has towards democratic tenets.

The sight of armed police with dogs camped at the offices of Biti, who is the convenor of the Constitution Defenders Forum(CDF) which is opposed to the pillaging of the country’s supreme law, illustrates how democracy has rapidly gone down the swamps since the Scarfed One was catapulted into power on the back of guns and tanks.

That a member of the CDF has been abducted and tortured solely because he is part of an organisation who finds the trashing of the constitution abominable,  shows just how this so-called second repubric has taken us back to the dark ages.

That it comes on the heel of the bombing of the Sapes offices that were to host an event which would militate against the desecration of the constitution is not only shameful, but the strongest indicator yet that this cabal has turned the country into a banana republic.

If there is overwhelming support countrywide for the extension of Scarfmore’s leadership that has been characterised by currency failures, massive loss of formal jobs, company closures and entrenched poverty, then surely there should not be such embarrassing levels of panic and discomfort at the opposition from Biti and company.

The crackdown makes a mockery of the slogan by the Scarfed One that the voice of the people is the voice of God.

Moreso, when the regime baulk at having a referendum to vote on the particular amendment of extending the vapid leadership of the octogenarian by two more years without going for elections.

That it opts instead to use a parliament that is stuffed by bootlickers and unelected charlatans disguised as members of the opposition to make such a decision, speaks volumes of the desperate levels of chicanery to extend its bankrupt leadership.

Munopengaaa!!!

The poverty of leadership at Munhumutapa building  has been on full display with Scarfmore’s megaphone Joji going on a ridiculous rant in which he attacked the late veteran broadcaster John Masuku for being a quisling of western interests and a agent of Rhodesian  propaganda.

His vitriol against Masuku exposed the callousness of this bespectacled fellow who uses death as a platform to spew venom.

That he is greatly bothered and bitter  that  there is such  widespread grief and affection for Masuku, who played a pivotal role in enriching broadcasting in the country both for the  state and private media , is not only unbelievably  vile ,but  a terrible advertisement of the Scarfmore regime.

That such  characters are ensconced in Scarfmore’s office  diminishes what is supposed to be the country’s highest office.

The sad delusion of the likes of Joji who seem to think that they are the only ones who can be the  arbiters of determining one’s patriotism is symptomatic of  the ludicrous sense of entitlement in the corridors of power.

Now, my dear people , you can see why I have  had to publicly scold this probity deficient individual. Stop it Joji!!!

Munopengaaa!!!

We have always known that the youth minister Tino is not the brightest bulb on the chandelier but his latest tantrums and threats against youths who have not been indoctrinated by the national youth service is a new low even for him.

“You can go to university but without a National Youth Service certificate, you may struggle to get a job and I want to assure you they will suffer,” the excitable minister declared.

The remarks are not only shocking but also tone deaf in a country in which there is high levels of unemployment that has contributed to the alarming levels of drug and substance abuse among youths.

It is scandalous that instead of coming up with ways to employ youths in a nation in which more than 70% are in the informal sector, we have a minister who is  obsessed with making youths suffer and threatening them with failure to access jobs that are non-existent as a result of not having a youth certificate.

This is not only insensitive but also incredibly daft.

We probably should not be surprised by this as this is the same individual who attacked the sex life of an individual when interrogated on the lack of transparency in his ministry which is in the national interest.

What a national embarrassment!!

Munopengaaa

The tour of Harare’s First Street by  Zanu PF Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology graduate and mayor Jakobo was nothing short of comical and an indication how the incompetence of the Scarfmore regime has cascaded down to the the Harare City Council.

Roused into  shambling from his office to First Street, after the embarrassing revelation that commuter omnibuses are now navigating pedestrian pavements right in the heart of that area, Jakobo  made a number of promises to improve First Street which has deteriorated and become  a symbol of the rot in the country.

Very few will believe  a word coming out of his mouth given how the council has dismally failed to provide clean water among other services while charging the city’ residents an arm and a leg.

Jakobo would be advised to provide basic services to the city’s residents first before prattling on about turning around the mess that First Street has become
