The talent search is held in collaboration with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe to empower aspiring musicians and create countless success stories.

"It was a dream come true to perform at such a high-profile event," he said. "I learned a lot and gained invaluable experience from veterans such as DJ Elroy and Andyle,"

The carnival organisers accused the trio of failing to honour their contract despite being paid in full.

Kunaka comes 20 years after the two first collaborated, ironically on Cindy's first recording. Cindy's debut recording was titled Staira.

The festival will take place next Friday at Harare Gardens, running under the theme Voices unleashed: Addressing Drug and Substance Abuse, SRH, and GBV through Art.

In what could be the last and biggest musical showdown of the year, Winky D and Jah Prayzah will clash again at the Bulawayo Shutdown in Bulawayo this month. 

Institutional applicants, the Health Law and Policy Consortium (HLPC) and the Intersex Community of Zimbabwe (ICoZ), have joined the suit.

They advocate for children to be allowed to develop naturally and make surgical decisions later in life with informed consent.
