PROMINENT traditional healer Gogo Chihoro will on May 29 host an all-night spiritual gathering in Bulawayo amid growing demand for her services across the country.

The event, to be held at her Woodville Park shrine, is expected to attract hundreds of people seeking spiritual guidance, cleansing and protection.

Traditional music groups, including Elvis Bhebhe and Dziba Lemvula, are set to perform during the overnight ceremony.

Gogo Chihoro has in recent months become a familiar figure in Bulawayo, where she holds weekly Saturday sessions attended by people from different parts of Matabeleland and beyond.

Her spokesperson, Sibonginkosi Maphosa, said the upcoming gathering would focus on spiritual healing, restoration and hope.

“This is not just an event, but a night where people who are burdened spiritually can seek help and comfort. We are also inviting prophets and traditional leaders who feel they have lost their grip,” Maphosa said.

The healer has also drawn attention through her herbal product, Hustlers Special, which has gained popularity among traders and small business owners hoping to improve their fortunes.

Maphosa said the growing interest in Gogo Chihoro’s work reflected the pressures many Zimbabweans were facing.

“People are looking for solutions in difficult times. Some believe they are facing spiritual attacks, while others simply want protection, peace and breakthrough in their lives,” she said.

SHe added that cases involving alleged unexplained disturbances in homes had contributed to increased demand for spiritual protection services.

“Families approach Gogo seeking help over persistent misfortunes, illnesses or strange occurrences they cannot explain. Her role is to provide guidance, cleansing and reassurance,” Maphosa said.

Several people who attended previous sessions have also shared testimonies linked to Hustlers Special, claiming improvements in their businesses after using the herbal blend.

A Bulawayo car dealer said the product helped revive his struggling operations.

“I had reached a point where business was no longer moving. After using the mixture, things slowly started changing and customers returned,” he said.

Traditional healing remains deeply rooted in Zimbabwean culture, with many people continuing to seek spiritual intervention alongside modern solutions.

The May 29 gathering is expected to run throughout the night at the Woodville Park venue.
