Chicken Inn president Lifa Ncube has declared the club’s intentions ahead of the 2026 Premier Soccer League campaign, saying the team is ready to challenge for the league title.

Ncube, who is confident that the Gamecocks can mount a serious title push, made the remarks during the club’s unveiling ceremony for their principal sponsor, Lucky Bets, on Monday.

“We are here to compete in 2026,” he said.  ’We are here to challenge for the league title. We are ready. This is the year for us to aim higher.”

His confidence likely comes after the squad the Gamecocks have assembled ahead of the new season, with their activity in the transfer market showing clear ambition and intent.

Last season, Chicken Inn endured a difficult spell and were at one point battling relegation.

They eventually finished 12th with 39 points, just two above GreenFuel, who were relegated after ending the campaign in 15th place.
