Construction of Dombwe Clinic has officially commenced, with the health facility expected to open its doors in October, marking a major boost to healthcare delivery in Shurugwi North.

The project is being spearheaded by Shurugwi North Member of Parliament Joseph Mpasi, in collaboration with various government departments.

Once complete, the clinic will provide much-needed primary healthcare services to Dombwe and surrounding communities.

Dombwe Clinic is among several infrastructure development initiatives undertaken by Mpasi, in line with the second republic’s development philosophy of leaving no one and no place behind, anchored on Vision 2030.

Speaking during the commencement of works, Mpasi said the project was a fulfilment of a pledge made to the community.

“As part of our commitment to community development, we pledged to construct Dombwe Clinic, which will improve access to quality healthcare for surrounding communities. I am pleased that we have begun delivering building materials, including pit sand and river sand,” he said.

Mpasi called on stakeholders and community members to support the project, saying collective effort was key to achieving development goals in the constituency.

“This development brings us closer to our goals as Shurugwi North Constituency. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the growth and development of our district,” he said.

Apart from Dombwe Clinic, Mpasi has also facilitated the construction of several other clinics across the constituency as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve service delivery.
