ESIGODINI Agricultural College received a huge boost on Tuesday when it received 54 goats, four boreholes, 11 dairy cows, a laboratory and feed analysis centre equipment for use in its curriculum.
The only agricultural college in Matabeleland South and North received the livestock and equipment from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the government.
Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development secretary, Obert Jiri said the donation will help students in their studies.
“With water and technology as an enabler, this college has the potential to become the best agricultural college in the country,” Jiri said.
UNPD resident representative Ayodele Odusola said UNDP is working with the government to implement an agricultural innovation platforms.

“We aim to achieve national climate policy and agriculturally full system transformations,” he said.
