The Norton Country Club  hosted the Platinum Classic, a thrilling conclusion to the ZGA 2025 golfing season. 

Kelvin Muchenje emerged the victorious after a dramatic playoff with Munesu Chimhini. 

The two golfers were tied on 224, setting up an intense playoff. 

Overnight leaders, Toby Ellis and Darlington Chikanyambidze had faltered on hole number 18 to finish T3 with Blessing Gondo who eventually took the 3rd prize after a count out. 

The playoff was taken to hole number 18  where Kelvin hit a precise driver to the center of the fairway and Munesu's driver was to the right in the rough. 

Kelvin second shot just fell shot of the green and landed on the left fringe, Munesu third shot was perfect that it drew the spectators applause as it landed about 2 meters to the hole.

Kelvin took out his putter but the shot was short giving Munesu hope but he went on to miss 2 putts which eventually handed Kelvin his second win for the season. 

The ladies division, Zarina Makwarimba took the top spot with scores of 97, 87, 93 (277) with Rumbidzo Zhou in second place. The ladies did put extra effort to complete the 54 holes in the difficult course. 

Mashonaland West Golf Union (MAWEGU) also praised the participation of ladies and Juniors, some Juniors came as far as Kadoma.
