Former beauty queen and tourism advocate Anitta Nesh says her roundtable dubbed Girl Talk Zimbabwe has changed girls and women’s mentality and approach to life.
The talk show was launched last year in October and is being hosted in Bulawayo with possibility of it being hosted in Harare next year.
“The show has been of great impact as most youths’ lives and ways of thinking have changed positively. We seek to inspire girls to become independent and be entrepreneurs and leaders in their respective spaces of influence through peer-to-peer mentoring,” Nesh told Standard Style.
“Our curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including diversity and inclusion, body image, relationships, entrepreneurship, digital citizenship, women’s health such as cervical cancer and breast cancer awareness as well as fitness and we also share affairs of the female universe.”
Nesh said her passion for women empowerment led her to establish Girl Talk Zimbabwe.

“I am passionate about women empowerment and I believe that in order for one to be a successful leader or businesswoman, it takes motivation, education, and to be empowered by those that are already doing great in the community. Girl Talk Zimbabwe is there to offer that networking opportunity,” she said.
“We want to broaden our reach by also coming to host the show in Harare. from there we will take it around the country.”
Girl Talk Zimbabwe has been aired on ZBC TV and is expected to return next year.
Nesh has a qualification in Tourism and Hospitality Management and is also an entrepreneur.
