Dendera musician Sulumani Chimbetu will next Saturday perform at Pagomo Leisure Centre in Marondera at an event that is expected to draw a large crowd.

The Sean Timba hitmaker will be sharing the stage with seasoned reggae outfit House of Stone, hence the show dubbed Dendera Meets Reggae.

The Orchestra Dendera Kings will be performing in the farming town for the first time in two years due to  the Covid-19 pandemic.

Show organiser and Pagomo Leisure Centre director Simbarashe Chatima said the gig was long overdue.

“Entertainment lovers will be in for a treat as they have been in the wilderness for sometime,” Chatima said.

“This is the time for Sulu to reunite with his Marondera fans.

“We have remembered both reggae and Dendera fans and we are expecting fireworks come February 26.”

House of Stone is a formidable reggae outfit that commands a huge following in Marondera.

The band is also known for playing yesteryear reggae songs by Jaimaican greats among them Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Burning Spear, among others.

On the other hand, Sulu is expected to churn out his hits among them Alice Mbewe as well as renditions of his late father Simon.
