United-Kingdom based gospel songstress Jennie Maneni-Mayer has paid homage to her fans and gospel music lovers back home for supporting her music in what has earned her accolades locally and internationally.
Maneni-Mayer, currently vying for the Best Africa Gospel at the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Awards set for December 12 on the southern side of Limpopo, has had to rely on online presence to stay connected to her fanbase in Zimbabwe and the continent.
Speaking to Standard Style, the happily married mother of one expressed gratitude to her followership across the board.
“First of all, I want to give thanks to the people who support Jen Music, bless them because they encourage me a lot through social media,” said the Blessed hitmaker.
“The most important thing in building a house,music career and family is the foundation. The roots of my music are grounded in Zimbabwe my home,with roots in my homeland I still receive considerably fair airplay on local radio as well media coverage.”

To solidify relevance, the songstress said she has been working with local producer Blessing Mchenga and executive producer Mr R Mayer in all productions.
Turning back to the latest nomination, her fourth from which she has won two awards already this year, Maneni-Mayer said:
“Everything that happens to me as a believer happens through prayer. My destiny is defined by God almighty. Faith has propelled me to believing in God’s divine touch upon my music. Above all prayer is the key to success in anything that we do,” she said, adding that the UK-move has worked as a timely boost.
“The journey has been quite intense, but receiving a number of international nominations could mean that my music has managed to penetrate the global market and the future looks bright.”
To get the award, she will have to get more votes than two other musicians from Swaziland and South Africa by the time online polls close on December 8.
