Masvingo-based model and Miss People’s Choice, Abigail Magure says one should not be overshadowed by fear to succeed in the profession.

Fear does exist, but one must have doubt.

The 23-year-old model took part in the Miss Grand Zimbabwe pageant and was crowned Miss People’s Choice after securing 6 304 votes.

“I am going to contest in other pageants even internationally and I am going to win,” Magure said.

“The sky is not the limit as l will express my talent to its full capacity because it is in me and it is my passion.”

She said this is the beginning of her career and is gunning for more challenging opportunities.

Magure initially did not have the courage to take up huge opportunities with the fear of failure. However, she has now conquered her fears and is able to chase her dreams and came back home with the crown.

As Miss People’s Choice Queen, she is set to groom other models.

“I am going to groom other upcoming models and conscientise them on how to express their talents to their full capacity without fear or limitations,” Magure said.

“I also want to encourage them to apply for loans that were introduced by our president to empower youths, the Empowerment Bank and the Women’s Bank.

“They should utilise this opportunity to start their own projects for them to self-sustain themselves.

“It is high time we do away with the dependency syndrome and this is what l want to instill in them in a bid to empower them with a voice to stand for and fight for their rights, stand firm and never be victims of abuse especially from the opposite sex.”
