Police in Hwange have launched a manhunt for the driver of a blue Honda Fit vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a motorcyclist and his six-year-old daughter with serious head injuries.
The incident occurred on June 29, 2026, at approximately 7:30pm along Kasibo road, near the Kasibo irrigation scheme.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the motorcyclist was carrying his young daughter as a passenger when the Honda Fit struck them.
The impact threw both riders onto the road, causing severe head injuries to the pair.
The driver of the blue Honda Fit failed to stop and fled the scene, police confirmed.
Authorities are appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the crash or have information on the vehicle’s whereabouts to report at their nearest police station.
