Police have arrested two men linked to a motorcycle theft syndicate in Chegutu and recovered six stolen motorcycles and a solar battery.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi identified the suspects as Andy Ushewokunze, 30, and Titus Manjengwa.
The pair is being investigated in connection with a string of theft and unlawful entry cases reported between January and May 20 this year.
“On May 21, 2026, police arrested Titus Manjengwa after receiving information that he was in possession of stolen motorcycles,” Nyathi said.
“Manjengwa implicated Ushewokunze, leading to his arrest at Mukohwe Shopping Centre in Pfupajena.”
Police said investigations linked the suspects to at least 10 motorcycle theft cases and a separate unlawful entry and theft case at a house in Kaguvi Phase Four, Chegutu, where a solar battery and television set were stolen earlier this month.
